Modify a file online

To modify a file with Google Docs online interface, you can either double click the file or select “Open online” from the context menu, and then Google Docs will open the file.

Note: Not all files can be opened by Google Docs. Only Google Docs formats, like document, spreadsheet, presentation, drawing, PDF and a few others are supported by Google Docs. For other types of files that are not compatible with Google Docs, we recommend “Modify a Google Docs file with local application”.
